"For those who’ve followed his career, the musical dementia of Richard D. James (a.k.a Aphex Twin), the man behind Aphex Twin, is old news. He’s always remained a good light-year ahead of his contemporaries, and this new single is no exception. Fresh from “Come To Daddy,” his demonic, maniacal breakbeat experiment, “Windowlicker’s” electro drum kicks, warped vocal samples and sleazy, erotic ambiance connotes images and emotions alien to James’ previous compositions. Erratic sound bites pervade both that track and the disjointed second cut, “Formula.” “Nannou” completes the EP with its soothing music box melody and minimal rhythmic structure. Be afraid. Be very afraid."
