8. Second-Hand Records & Grading
Some products sold on our website are second-hand (used) vinyl records / CD’s. Where applicable, the condition of second-hand items will be clearly described in the product listing.
We grade second-hand records using recognised industry grading standards (such as the Record Collector / Goldmine grading system). Grades reflect our honest assessment of the item’s condition at the time of listing.
The grading categories and their meanings are set out below:
-
Mint (M) – As new condition
-
Near Mint (NM) – Very minor signs of handling
-
Excellent (EX) – Light signs of use
-
Very Good (VG) – Noticeable surface marks but plays without major issues
-
Good (G) – Significant wear; may include surface noise
Descriptions are provided in good faith and are subjective assessments. Minor cosmetic imperfections, light surface marks, sleeve wear, or age-related signs consistent with the stated grade do not constitute a fault.
Where an item is sold as second-hand, it will not be considered faulty solely because it shows signs of normal use consistent with its grading.
However, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If a second-hand item is significantly not as described or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
9. Faulty or Damaged Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:
-
Of satisfactory quality
-
Fit for purpose
-
As described
If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
If you notify us within 30 days of delivery, you may be entitled to a full refund.
After 30 days, we may offer a repair or replacement in accordance with your statutory rights.
10. Returns
Returned items must be:
-
Securely packaged
-
In their original condition (unless faulty)
We recommend using a tracked service for returns, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.
